Job Summary
Prepare pleadings for estate and guardianship court proceedings, monitor administration files, and review estate planning, will, and trust documents. Draft memorandums and correspondence while handling trust administration paperwork, including trustee acceptances, resignations, and declinations. Monitor accounts and expenses, research asset and debt information, and prepare deeds, vehicle transfers, brokerage accounts, and cash distributions to beneficiaries. Assemble documentation for estate, income, and gift tax returns and conduct legal research on estate and guardianship issues. Locate beneficiaries when needed and collaborate on tax return preparation. Requires a business administration degree, three years of experience as a paralegal or tax fiduciary accountant, and strong Microsoft Office skills. Salary ranges from $75,000–$95,000, dependent on experience.
