Job Summary
4th Grade Teacher position leading instruction for an elementary classroom, developing daily instruction plans, employing differentiated, research-based strategies, conducting interim assessments and data analysis to monitor mastery, participating in faculty meetings and school events, supporting after-hours activities and scholar recruitment, and serving as a faith-aligned Open Sky Education representative. The role emphasizes classroom management, collaboration with families and staff, and use of technology for virtual learning, with a Bachelor’s degree and a Wisconsin teaching credential as prerequisites, plus 1-3 years of teaching experience and a background in serving urban communities. The role requires fidelity to the Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and involves modeling the school’s biblical values in interactions with scholars and families.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid Wisconsin teaching credential or willingness to attain one
- Minimum of 12 educational teaching credits required after 3 years
- At least 1-3 years of teaching experience
- Experience working with students and families in low-income urban communities
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Experience with school teaching platforms and technology for virtual learning
- Proven track record of student achievement results
