Job Summary
FICC Research Analyst- Assistant Manager sought to join State Street's Fixed Income Research team. The role involves developing investment strategies, building proprietary tools and solutions to improve investment decision-making, collaborating with multiple teams for thematic research, and authoring papers for publication. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of investment experience, strong quantitative and programming capabilities (R/Python, SQL), familiarity with large data sets, and comfort with front-office tools. Opportunity to contribute individually and potentially lead portions of research in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 3 years of investment experience (research or portfolio management)
- Strong quantitative and programming skills
- Experience with statistical packages (preferably R or Python) and intermediate SQL
- Experience dealing with large data sets
- Familiarity with front-office tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.
- Good communications skills and strong process, organizational, time and project management skills
- Desire to develop creative and innovative solutions
- CFA, MBA, MA, or MS preferred
