Fiber Technician ***Training Provided***

Fiber Installation Technician (Cable Installer) responsible for installing and provisioning broadband services inside and outside the home, including fiber jumpers, drops (aerial, buried and plenum), splicing of fiber drops, installation of ONT and power supplies, and running or reusing COAX or CAT5/CAT5E wiring. Tasks include CAT5/COAX installation up to 50 ft, MOCA technology, and provisioning Internet and video services (TV boxes, remote controls). Provide customer education on Internet access, verify service, and handle installations for video services as ordered. Must meet physical requirements (lift up to 100 lbs), pass pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screen, have a valid state driver’s license and non-negligent driving record, and be able to work flexible hours with possible weekends/holidays. Training provided; tangible company equipment includes vehicle, gas, cell phone, tablet, and uniform. Knowledge areas include basic electricity, wiring (CAT5, COAX), hand and power tools, and ability to recognize sales opportunities to promote products/services. Environment includes working outdoors in varying weather, potential exposure to inclement conditions, and safety-focused operations.
