Job Summary
Fiber Splicer Technician I role responsible for installing and networking OSP fiber networks, reading prints and splice allocations, operating OTDR, testing and preparing reports, troubleshooting equipment, complying with OSHA safety regulations, setting up safety perimeters and signage, submitting job paperwork, and maintaining tools, inventory, and vehicle. Requires 2+ years’ experience, high school diploma/GED, valid driver license (CDL preferred), ability to work nights/weekends/on-call, strong problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work independently or in a team, and physical ability to work outdoors in varied conditions; includes benefits after trial period.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2 years previous experience
- Must have valid driver license – CDL preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must have your own transportation
- Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Must be at least 18 years old and be legal to work in the US
