Job Summary
Fiber Splicer responsibilities include splicing and terminating fiber optic cables, performing testing and troubleshooting with OTDR, power meter, fiber identifier, and fiber score, installing termination panels and equipment, bonding and grounding cables, locating and repairing faults, and validating end-to-end service provisioning. The role requires splicing large-count cables, micro-cables, butt splices, mid-sheath/express cable entry, and using fiber optic color codes. Proficiency with Mapcom M4, Bluebeam, and Visio Professional is used for planning and documentation. Position level aligns with 2+ years of fiber splicing experience; vocational training preferred. Education required is a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). A valid driver's license is required.
