Job Summary
Conduct fiber splicing and termination for single and ribbon fiber, including pulling and splicing OSP high-count cables and furcating large strand counts. Read splice records, blueprints, and floor plans to execute installations, troubleshoot break fixes, and maintain job site organization and safety compliance. Assist the project team with installation activities while adhering to customer security requirements and company policies. This role involves minimal to frequent overnight travel depending on the region.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- OSHA 30 within first 2 weeks of role
- 3+ years work experience in structured cabling, installing, terminating, and splicing
- Minimum 1 year work experience in a fiber splicing role or industry-related construction
- Single and Ribbon Fiber splicing experience
- Experience with ISP and OSP
- Read, write, and understand English
- Able to distinguish color codes with the ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Windows based programs
- Knowledge of EXFO OTDR and EXFO OLTS testing
- Ability to listen carefully to and follow instructions
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, dependable, and exercise efficient time management at the jobsite
- Demonstrate accountability for safety, quality, and productivity

- High attention to detail with demonstrated ability to source and follow standards
- Ability to meet deadlines

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet
- Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required
- Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces
- Must be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics
- Must be able to follow safe work practices
- Must be able to adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- BICSI Installer 2 Fiber certification
