Job Summary
The Fiber Optic Groundman supports field operations by assisting linemen and construction crews with installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and communication infrastructure. Responsibilities include performing ground operations, assisting with lashing and stringing, ensuring safety near electrical lines, and maintaining a clean job site. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL, have a safety-focused work ethic, and be physically prepared to work outdoors in various conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Willingness to work outdoors, at heights, and in various weather conditions
- Strong safety mindset, reliability, and solid work ethic
- Willingness to travel as needed based on project requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous construction, telecom, or utility experience preferred
- Electrical or telecommunications experience is a plus
