Job Summary
Fiber I&R Technician position in West Virginia focusing on installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers across WV (Hundred, Marlinton, Petersburg, Romney). Responsibilities include placing aerial or buried drops, installing interior/exterior wiring, ensuring internet/phone/TV service performance, completing pre-install work orders and post-install verifications, maintaining safety per OSHA, working outdoors in varying conditions, assisting teammates, and documenting work orders/timekeeping. Requires strong communication, adaptability to new processes, and the ability to relocate across different regions of WV as needed; must have own tools and vehicle, and pass background, MVR, and drug testing. Production-based compensation is offered; base benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), and opportunities for career growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience
- Must have own tools and safety equipment
- Own vehicle with ladder rack and minimum liability insurance 100/300/100
- Android smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S23 or newer)
- Laptop with Microsoft Excel
- Lift up to 80lbs
- Effective communication and multi-tasking
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Background check, MVR, and drug test
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
