Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers while ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone, and television services. Complete pre-install work orders, perform post-install service verification, and educate customers to ensure satisfaction. Place aerial or buried fiber drops, install interior and exterior wiring, and adhere to all safety rules and OSHA regulations. Work outdoors in all weather, in confined spaces, and at heights using various ladders. Maintain minimum metrics for Repeats, Productivity, and Completions, and keep customer appointments. Use internal systems for work order notation and timekeeping.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent such as the GED from an accredited educational institution
- 1+ year Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience
- Must have own company required tools and safety equipment to perform the job
- Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and minimum liability insurance of 100/300/100
- Android smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone or newer
- Laptop with Microsoft Excel
- Lift up to 80lbs unassisted
- Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test
- Must have the ability to work overtime and on weekends depending on the needs of the customer
