Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers while ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone, and television services. Complete pre-install work orders and post-install service verification, educate customers, and place aerial or buried fiber optic drops. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including confined spaces and heights, while observing all safety rules and OSHA regulations. Maintain minimum acceptable metrics for repeats, productivity, and completions, and adapt to new processes and information frequently. This role requires a high school diploma, one year of fiber optic experience, and personal tools, a vehicle, and specific smartphone/laptop equipment. Candidates must be accountable, dependable, and able to work overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent such as the GED from an accredited educational institution
- 1+ year Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience
- Must have own company required tools and safety equipment to perform the job
- Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and minimum liability insurance of 100/300/100
- Android smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone or newer
- Laptop with Microsoft Excel
- Lift up to 80lbs unassisted
- Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test
- Must have the ability to work overtime and on weekends depending on the needs of the customer
