Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers while ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone, and television services. Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops, install interior and exterior wiring, and complete pre-install work orders with post-install service verification. Convey company products and services to customers, keep appointments, and use internal systems for work order notation and timekeeping. Observe all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and work at heights or in confined spaces. Maintain minimum acceptable metrics for repeats, productivity, and completions. Work overtime and on weekends as needed, own a vehicle with a ladder rack and necessary tools, and adapt to new processes.
Required Qualifications
- Must satisfy company required tools and safety equipment checklist
- Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack
- Must have own tools to perform the job
- Smartphone and Laptop are required
- Must have Microsoft Excel
- Lift up to 80lbs unassisted
- Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test
- Must be accountable and dependable
- Must have the ability to work overtime and on weekends depending on the needs of the customer
Desired Qualifications
- Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred
