Job Summary
Assess, develop, and implement staff development activities and programs to maintain compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations for all assigned staff. Ensure orientation, safety, emergency procedures, and continuing in-service education meet BST, OSHA, and industry standards while monitoring Flu Action Plans and fire evacuation protocols. Coordinate Quality Assurance Program (QAPI) meetings, manage employee training records, and verify license renewals for ACRC employees. Conduct pharmacy audits, oversee falls tracking, and develop electronic training curricula with the Supervisor. Accept on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis and attend ongoing education seminars related to person-centered care and LTC regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed Vocational Nurse licensed by, and in good standing with, the state of Texas or an associated compact state allowing practice in Texas
- At least one year of experience with related experience of LTC and/or Alzheimer's, Dementia Facility
Desired Qualifications
- Some education beyond the minimum nursing licensure level
- Related training in dementia care
- Supervision training
- Infection control training
