Job Summary
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support small groups of students in building background knowledge, reinforcing learning concepts, and reaching academic goals. Conduct assessments under supervision to evaluate instructional needs and maintain manual and electronic files to ensure safe learning environments and meet mandated requirements. Implement academic and behavioral interventions as needed while organizing instructional materials for small group instruction. Assist students with special needs by adapting tasks to IEP goals, supporting life skills development, and managing transitions, eating, and hygiene. Supervise students during class, between classes, lunch, recess, and field trips. Report student progress, incidents, or variances to supervising teachers and participate in assigned meetings and professional learning. Adhere to established policies while safeguarding all student-related information.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in an educational environment (substitute teaching, tutoring, etc.)
