Job Summary
Collaborate with classroom teachers to work with small groups of students, assisting those in need of intervention or enrichment. Conduct assessments under supervision to evaluate instructional needs and report student-specific progress and observations to aid in implementing instructional plans. Maintain manual and electronic files to ensure availability of items and meet mandated requirements while organizing instructional materials for small groups. Support students with special needs by adapting tasks to their learning styles and IEP goals, including helping with transitions, eating, and personal hygiene. Supervise students during class, between classes, lunch, recess, and field trips as needed. Participate in meetings and professional learning assignments, adhere to established policies, and safeguard all student-related information.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in an educational environment (substitute teaching, tutoring, etc.)
