FFES- Instructional Assistant: Exceptional Children

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support small groups of students in curricular areas, focusing on building background knowledge and reinforcing learning concepts. Conduct assessments under supervision to evaluate instructional needs and report student progress to assist in implementing instructional plans. Adapt information and tasks to meet IEP goals, providing support for students with special needs and helping them develop life skills for independence. Organize instructional materials and maintain manual and electronic files to ensure resource availability and compliance with mandated requirements. Supervise students during class, transitions, lunch, recess, and field trips while safeguarding all student-related information.
