Festival Architect Designer (Freelance)

Job Summary
Draft 2D floor plans and render 3D models for all components of live events, ranging from overall venue layouts to amusements and attractions, perimeter areas and premium spaces; collaborate with internal and external teams to support permitting and life-safety planning; maintain accurate drawings and material lists, update post-event as-built drawings, and drive cost-saving design solutions. Requires extensive CAD proficiency, 5+ years of live-events experience, strong collaboration and communication, and ability to travel or be onsite during nights, weekends, and holidays. Based in Nashville, TN or Los Angeles, CA with hybrid remote option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Design, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Design, Interior Design, Mathematics, or Urban Planning preferred
- CAD certification
- Extensive working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software
- 5+ years experience in live events or similar fields
- Ability to travel and/or be onsite nights, weekends, and holidays
- Event Safety Alliance training and/or certifications preferred
