Job Summary
Fertilizer & Pest Control Technician responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides to turf, shrubs, trees, and ornamental landscapes; diagnosing turf and plant health issues; operating and calibrating application equipment; maintaining service records; communicating findings and treatment plans with clients and internal teams; collaborating with Account Managers, Crew Leaders, and Operations to ensure timely service; and adhering to safety and environmental compliance procedures. Requires 2+ years in landscape fertilization/pest control, a valid Florida driver’s license, and relevant licenses (preferred CPCO or fertilizer license). Includes company vehicle and ongoing training, with opportunities for growth within a growing division.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape fertilization and pest control
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, ornamental plant care, common landscape pests, and disease identification
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Florida Limited Commercial Fertilizer Applicator License and/or Florida Certified Pest Control Operator (CPCO) License preferred
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and time management skills
