Job Summary
Operate ferry vessels safely and efficiently while conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Load and unload passengers, vehicles, and equipment, monitoring weather and water conditions to ensure safe operations. Perform routine maintenance, housekeeping, and maintain accurate logs and operational records. Communicate effectively with passengers, crew, and management while ensuring compliance with all Coast Guard regulations and company safety procedures. Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist with emergency drills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform physical labor
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of working in marine and waterfront environments
Desired Qualifications
- Previous marine, vessel, or ferry operating experience
- Strong understanding of maritime safety procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
