FEP Customer Engineer I Senior

Job Summary
Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment while applying digital analytics for troubleshooting and basic diagnostic techniques. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems with provided training, and coordinate directly with customers to address technical issues. Fulfill additional duties as assigned, including extensive travel up to 10% of the time, while adhering to on-site safety, environmental, and clean room protocols. Requires a valid driver's license, passport capability, and physical ability to work in tight spaces, lift up to 35 lbs., and use hand and power tools.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport, if travel is required
- Ability to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental guidelines, and COVID-19 protocols
- Ability to distinguish between colors
- Ability to work with electricity
- Ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to work at height
- Ability to bend, squat, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk extensively
- Willingness to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of work experience in customer/field service support, or a related technical field
- Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
- Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters
