Job Summary
Install a variety of fences according to project specifications, including chain-link, wooden, vinyl, and metal types. Prepare job sites by measuring boundaries, clearing, and leveling ground before digging post holes and setting posts in concrete. Assemble and secure fence panels, rails, and gates while conducting quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing fences as needed, maintaining accurate records of materials used and project progress. Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE including safety vests, glasses, long pants, and closed-toe work boots. Communicate with clients to understand needs and provide updates while collaborating with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fence Installer or similar role
- Knowledge of various fencing materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment, often exceeding 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain, for extended periods
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Must be able to work on uneven terrain and maintain balance while performing tasks
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use hand tools and power tools with precision
- Must have clear vision and hearing
- Ability to recognize and respond to potential hazards on the job site and follow all safety protocols
- Must subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass an MVR check
