Fence Driver

Job Summary
Deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing equipment in a safe, timely, and courteous manner for United Rentals’ Reliable Onsite Services division. Safely operate a fencing truck, perform vehicle and tool inspections, load equipment, meet with customers to review fencing projects, install fence poles and fencing per specifications, coordinate and inspect progress with the Fence Installation Associate, and handle onsite moves and occasional forklift operations. The role requires attention to safety, ability to follow utility safety requirements, and may involve occasional weekend work; training is provided on products, services, and driver qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Valid driver's license with safe driving record
- 1 year of truck driving experience
- DOT medical card (must be obtained prior to commencing employment)
- Basic knowledge of safe driving procedures (day or night)
- Ability to locate and understand utility markings and follow underground utility safety requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift (training provided)
- Diligent safety awareness
- Able to lift/move/push/pull/twist up to 45 pounds (and more with assistance)
- CDL license preferred
