Job Summary
Youth Coordinator role focused on overseeing and expanding Central’s youth ministry for middle school and high school girls within the Central community. Responsibilities include program oversight (curricula, events, camps, and retreats), planning and executing weekly meetings and special activities, training student leaders, budgeting, space and safety management, and collaboration with partner ministries. The role emphasizes evangelism, pastoral care, and building relationships with students and families, with an expectation of a Sunday- through Thursday work week and ongoing participation in church life. Key skills include leadership development, event planning, biblical teaching across developmental levels, communications, volunteer recruitment, and partnerships with youth ministries.
Required Qualifications
- An evangelistic heart and a passion for sharing the gospel with others
- Professional experience working with students in a Christian ministry context
- A strong work ethic and an ability to carry out the responsibilities of the position
- An understanding of and commitment to the basic convictions of reformed theology as expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms
- An understanding of and commitment to the vision, values, and philosophy of ministry of Central
- An ability to effectively apply a Christ-centered approach to Scripture and teach students at various developmental levels using it
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and well-developed event planning skills
- Ability to recruit and develop a team of student leaders and volunteers
