Job Summary
Senior Support Worker to oversee 2 services, leading shifts and guiding Support Workers. Role involves hands-on care and leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centered care for individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours, and substance dependency. Responsibilities include overseeing daily care per individual support plans, managing challenging behaviours, contributing to care planning and risk assessments, promoting independence, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with families and professionals, and traveling between services as required. Strong emphasis on staff development, team leadership, and adherence to safeguarding and professional standards. The position is based in Gloucestershire, Newent, United Kingdom, with full-time hours (shift pattern 7am–10pm, 45 hours/week) and a driving licence preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Support Worker or similar leadership role in health/social care
- Experience overseeing services and leading shifts
- Ability to support people with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism, challenging behaviours and substance dependency
- Strong communication with families and professionals
- Travel between services as required
- Full UK driving licence preferred
