Job Summary
Home Health Aide (HHA) for in-home, one-on-one client support in San Mateo. Provide daily living assistance including safely transferring clients, bathing/grooming support, and mobility aid. Perform light housekeeping (change linens, light laundry), medication reminders, wellness checks, and document care notes for RN/Care Supervisor. Schedule options include 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, or 11:00 PM–8:00 AM (overnight). Requires completion of an accredited HHA program (or equivalent), 1+ year home-health experience, valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days), strong written and verbal communication. Competitive hourly pay with shift differentials, PTO, training opportunities, mileage reimbursement, and supportive supervision. Rated for full-time or part-time roles with opportunities for career ladder progression (HHA → CNA → Nursing pathways).
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year of paid home-health, hospice, or facility experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- CPR certification (or willingness to earn within 30 days)
- Strong written and verbal communication—you’re comfortable updating digital care logs
