Job Summary
Manage acute walk-in urgent cases and minor procedures including suturing, fracture care, incision and drainage, EKG interpretation, and wet reading X-rays. Utilize on-site point-of-care testing and full x-ray suites while receiving supportive physician mentorship. Work 12-hour daily shifts across multiple locations in Southern Maryland, Washington D.C., and Western Maryland regions. Requires a two-year employment commitment with eligibility for a signing bonus. Fully paid malpractice coverage and competitive salary range of $93,500 to $119,600 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year employment commitment with MedStar Health Urgent Care
- Advanced practice provider (APP) status
- Accredited program through the College of Urgent Care Medicine
- Ability to manage acute walk-in urgent cases
- Ability to perform minor procedures including suturing, fracture care/splinting, I&Ds, interpreting EKGs, and wet reading X-rays
- Availability for 12 hours daily shifts
- Ability to work at the top of the APP's scope of practice
