Job Summary

Fellow, Sustainable Community Development, Environmental Climate and Justice role within the NAACP Empowerment Programs. Serves as a content expert and strategic thinker to support the Center for Environmental and Climate Justice across disaster resiliency, sustainable communities, zero emissions, air and water quality advocacy, and energy justice. Responsibilities include writing original research briefs, public comments, reports, blog posts, and website content; coordinating campaigns, reporting, and grant-related activities; managing meetings and team coordination; assisting in administrative and operational functions; contributing to Center planning, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement; providing technical assistance and intellectual leadership; and shaping programming and strategic direction in alignment with the Center’s mission and the broader NAACP goals. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of environmental and climate justice issues, strong written and oral communication skills, and experience in partnerships and advocacy within civil rights/non-profit contexts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and graduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred
