Feedmill Operations Manager

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end feedmill operations covering raw material sourcing, formulation, production, packaging, inventory, and logistics. Drive commercialization by developing go-to-market strategies for third-party clients and external markets. Oversee strategic procurement of maize, wheat, pollard, and soya while managing production planning, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Recruit and develop a multidisciplinary team across production, procurement, sales, and plant operations. Collaborate with internal departments to align performance with company objectives, maintain accurate operational records, and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Requires 8+ years in feedmill operations with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Feed Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in feedmill or grain operations
- At least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial feed production, including sales and market expansion initiatives
- Deep knowledge of raw material procurement, formulation techniques, and animal nutrition
- Strong understanding of operational excellence, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage performance across departments
- Strong financial literacy with experience managing budgets and controlling production costs
