Feeder / Packer - 1st Shift (4 Day/10 Hour)

Job Summary
Pack finished goods into shipping boxes per customer specifications and assemble corrugated cases to supply the packing line. Review job tickets for size, quantity, and labeling instructions, then stack cases uniformly, seal them, and place them on pallets with secure tags. Rotate through different lines and machines as instructed, including feeding product through converting or shrink wrap equipment. Perform quality checks, sort defective parts, and communicate issues to supervisors while maintaining a clean environment per Food Safety and 5S standards. Record production data in the manufacturing system and utilize downtime for additional tasks. Work the 1st shift (5:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST) at the Fairfield plant, Monday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training in a production or manufacturing environment
- basic computer skills
- ability to utilize software
- ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc.
- ability to write legibly in English
- ability to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English
- Must have the ability to lead others that have been placed with them
- Must have the ability to respond to oral instructions from the supervisor
- Must have the ability to respond to written instructions
