Feed Mill Truck Driver

Job Summary
Deliver feed from the mill to various farm locations while operating the truck in compliance with commercial driving regulations and road restrictions. Maintain accurate DOT paperwork, verify loads against shipping papers, and conduct pre- and post-truck inspections for fuel, brakes, lights, and safety equipment. Perform necessary roadside repairs, clean up spilled feed, and ensure cargo and equipment remain secure during transit. Collaborate with Feed Mill Manager staff, introduce best practices, and follow SFI biosecurity protocols at all sites. Maintain a safe working environment and advocate for animal welfare by reporting any mistreatment or abuse.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license and health card
- Clean driving record
- Ability to meet DOT drug & alcohol requirements
- Ability to perform basic math, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Able to read
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to present Schwartz Farms in a professional manner
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Position will involve travel
- Position will involve non-standard business hours
- Physical work anticipated
Desired Qualifications
- Previous feed delivery experience
- 3-5 years' driving experience
