Feed Mill Operator 1st Shift

Job Summary
Operate the feed mill to create various chicken diets; unload bulk feed ingredients from trucks or rail using a computerized receiving control system; learn and cover other roles within the mill; communicate with vendors, drivers, production, and management; perform essential sampling and keep general mill housekeeping; work mostly outside in extreme temperatures with potential heavy lifting, climb stairs/ladders, and work on platforms over 100 feet high; may require long hours in dusty environments and wearing a full-face respirator; schedule typically Monday–Friday with some weekend shifts; benefits include health coverage, PTO, 401(k), and career development opportunities; company safety programs and employment eligibility checks are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent or past experience in feed milling
- General computer knowledge with the ability to learn computerized control systems
- Ability to multi-task
- General Mechanical Knowledge with the ability to learn feed mill flows and conveying systems
- Ability to operate a forklift and skid steer loader
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be physically able to wear and perform essential duties wearing a full-face respirator
