Job Summary
Build weekly feed schedules and production plans to ensure every barn is fed on time. Oversee production, procurement, and quality control while partnering with the elevator team to maintain grain inventories and manage the moving fleet. Re-prioritize operations around equipment hiccups and jump in to mix feed or run the mill alongside your team. Hire, train, and grow the mill crew while tracking production data to shape the strategic direction of the mill. Manage relationships with third-party feed mills and collaborate with live production and nutritionists to boost flock performance. This full-time, on-site role in Cromwell, IN requires standing for most of the day, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in an active environment with occasional outdoor exposure and moderate noise.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- 4–10 years of related experience
- Comfort with data and software — databases, Easy Automation, and Microsoft Office
- Solid math and practical problem-solving on a busy production floor
- Clear communication with everyone — from the mill floor to the leadership team
- Flexibility to adjust schedules
- Readiness for an active, hands-on environment
