Job Summary
Feed Mill Maintenance Technician responsible for overseeing maintenance and repairs of feed mill machinery and equipment, including conveyors, boilers, pellet and hammer mills, and VFD-driven systems. Maintains accurate maintenance records, develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules, and helps reduce unscheduled downtime. Ensures safety and environmental compliance, promotes housekeeping, maintains inventory and parts replacement guidelines, and coordinates with maintenance supervisors to meet production goals. Requires high school diploma and hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, pneumatic and liquid systems, reading schematics, and strong teamwork in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1 year of successful industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair feed mill equipment
- Experience with electrical issues (solid-state circuitry, 110V control circuits, lighting circuits, VFDs, soft-start drives, 3-phase circuitry)
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and electrical schematics
- English literacy
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification helpful
- LOTO/Confined space certifications beneficial
