Job Summary
Experienced Feed & Farm Retail Specialist responsible for delivering expert guidance in horse and livestock feed, assisting farm and bulk accounts, overseeing feed and agricultural departments, coordinating bulk purchases and special orders, and mentoring team members. The role requires deep knowledge of livestock nutrition, strong customer-service and merchandising skills, and the ability to manage inventory, loading, and store operations while supporting sales growth in feed and farm categories. A minimum of 10 years of retail experience in an agricultural retail environment is required; candidates should demonstrate reliability, flexibility to work weekends/holidays, and excellent organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of retail experience in a feed store, farm supply store, or agricultural retail environment (required)
- Strong knowledge of Horse and livestock nutrition
- Poultry care and feed
- Pet feed and supplements
- Farm and agricultural supply products
- Experience working with farm accounts and bulk customers strongly preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proven reliability and consistent attendance
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift and carry 50 pounds regularly; perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, stacking, and loading; comfortable working in indoor and outdoor conditions
