Job Summary

Provide outpatient behavioral health counseling through individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based practices to diverse client populations in Massachusetts. Deliver secure telehealth services from a private setting while completing assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation. Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, and multidisciplinary teams on interventions and crisis response. Participate in clinical supervision, peer consultation, utilization review, and continuous improvement activities as applicable. Maintain compliance with ethical standards, licensing requirements, and privacy obligations. This fee-for-service role offers high hourly compensation, remote flexibility, and a pathway toward independent licensure for supervised master's-level candidates within a nonprofit organization focused on family economic security.

Required Qualifications

  • A master's or doctoral degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related clinical field.
  • Knowledge of a range of clinical presentations and experience serving diverse client populations.
  • Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort providing telehealth services and using an electronic health record.
  • Scheduling flexibility sufficient to meet client demand and participate in necessary consultation, supervision, and interdisciplinary activities.
  • Ability to provide services legally and ethically to Massachusetts-based clients, including maintaining any authorization required in Massachusetts and in the jurisdiction from which you practice.
  • Current Massachusetts independent clinical licensure in an eligible discipline, such as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Candidates must remain in good standing and practice within the scope of their license.
  • Actively pursuing independent Massachusetts licensure and maintaining timely progress toward required supervised clinical hours, supervision, examinations, and all other requirements of the applicable licensing board.
  • Practice must remain within the scope permitted by law and under the supervision of an appropriately licensed clinician.
  • Remote clinicians must maintain a confidential workspace, reliable internet access, and appropriate technology for secure telehealth services.
  • The role regularly involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods and may require lifting up to 15 pounds.
