Job Summary
Support walk-in student and faculty inquiries, rerouting complex issues to the department inbox as needed. Respond to department emails to manage calendar scheduling for students and staff, and maintain various spreadsheets tracking curriculum updates and semesterly projects. Create and update department flyers, posters, newsletters, and signs, then assist with onsite posting and display updates for events such as the Spring Show. Perform other office duties and special projects as assigned. This Federal Work Study position runs Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, with a schedule of 15 to 20 hours per week. The role supports the Game Department Manager at Academy of Art University, helping students gain administrative skills while contributing to behind-the-scenes operations.
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and interest in taking initiative to problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Drive Apps, Photoshop
- Familiar with Outlook, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, ArtStation
- Monday to Friday, anytime between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm
- 15 to 20 hours per week
- Federal Work Study schedules can work up to 20 hours per week
- The student's starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation
