Federal Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary
Design and implement robust security controls across AWS GovCloud environments, including IAM, SCPs, VPC security, and key management. Utilize Terraform to deploy security configurations and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated threat detection and scanning. Continuously monitor cloud security posture using GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS WAF while enforcing least privilege IAM best practices. Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify vulnerabilities and lead post-mortem analysis. Develop and maintain security policies ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and DoD IL-4/5 standards. Report on cloud risk metrics to leadership. Fully remote position with up to 5% travel for approved events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
- Military Service Equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in securing AWS environments
- 5+ years of general cybersecurity experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a criminal background check

- AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- CISSP or relevant security certifications
- U.S. Government Security Clearance
