Job Summary
Personnel Assistant I performs general personnel clerical tasks in areas such as employee records, benefits, education, training, employment/staffing, compensation, employee labor relations, and EEO/affirmative action; may also conduct surveys and maintain manual and automated personnel records. The role requires processing identification issuance requests and DEERS/RAPIDS training completions, operating standard office equipment, and working under supervision with no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- US citizenship
- Clearable to obtain Federal Clearance
- Initiated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and FBI fingerprint check, or eDoD-equivalent
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively
- Valid U.S. state driver’s license
- Experience or education in administrative personnel tasks
- Knowledge of DoD CAC issuance policies and procedures (per DEERS/RAPIDS)
- Experience or ability to handle HR tasks including compensation, benefits, staffing, EEO procedures and policy administration
