Job Summary
Personnel Assistant I performs a variety of general personnel clerical tasks across employee records, benefits, education, training, employment/staffing, compensation, employee labor relations, and EEO/affirmative action; may conduct surveys and update manual and automated personnel records. The role requires operational knowledge of DoD CAC card issuance policies and DEERS/RAPIDS training, and involvement with security-related processes. Typical duties include clerical/secretarial tasks under supervision, with emphasis on human resource tasks and policy administration; the candidate should be able to exercise discretion and handle basic organizational priorities. Office-based role with potential travel to off-site locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent
- US citizenship and eligible to obtain Federal Clearance
- Valid US state driver’s license
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Initiated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and favorable FBI fingerprint check by end of Phase In Period
