Job Summary

Conduct space programming for military facility types and create conceptual building plans, diagrams, and graphics. Collaborate with external cost estimators to develop order-of-magnitude estimates and prepare for user interviews, site visits, meetings, and presentations. Manage tasks or projects including budget, time, and team deliverables while planning and facilitating interactive workshops. Work with clients, colleagues, and team members to deliver successful results in the pre-design stages of federal projects for agencies like the US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. This hourly, nonexempt position starts at $38/hour, DOE, with a mix of in-office and site work required in Seattle or San Diego.

Required Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience performing work in a professional setting related to architecture or facility planning, preferably for large institutional clients
  • A master's or bachelor's degree in architecture or closely related field
  • Registered Architect or on the path to licensure
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage budget and time in a team environment
  • Technical writing skills for report production, data management and other documents
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver's license and ability to conduct field work which may include travel
  • A resume and portfolio demonstrating graphics and writing skills
