Federal Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise all site construction activities, including general and specialized work such as new construction, renovations, and system upgrades. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, and contractors to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. Direct and supervise field personnel to achieve project completion on schedule and within budget while maintaining safety practices. Manage the project budget, track labor and material costs, and prepare cost estimates. Complete daily reports on a computer-based project management program and maintain as-built drawings. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays to ensure proper procedures are followed. Prepare and complete a final punch list.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience in federal construction, specifically with site work/utility experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of successful construction work experience as a project superintendent, with project work ranging from $10M - $30M
- Federal project experience required
- Ability to gain access to Federal installations
- Experienced in managing multiple projects
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or EM385 Safety Certification and Qualify Control Certification
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- US Citizenship or Green Card certification
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Clean driving record
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (goggles, etc)
- Drug-Free Workplace Act compliance (drug test)
Desired Qualifications
- Design-build experience preferred
- Prior work with National Park Services is a plus
- Desirable study concentration in construction management- 2-yr college degree preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
