Federal Construction Quality Control Manager

Job Summary
Conduct daily quality control inspections, direct testing activities, and analyze results to ensure compliance with project plans and Corps of Engineers specifications. Review submittals, prepare daily reports, and maintain as-builts while overseeing subcontractors and field workers. Generate nonconformance reports, create inspection criteria, and stop production for serious defects. Assist the Site Safety Officer in maintaining safety awareness and adhere to all workplace regulations. Travel to job sites as needed to accompany government inspectors and maintain project quality control systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years Federal experience
- Federal construction experience in multiple fields: Federal, historic building, civil/site/utilities
- Self-motivated
- Highly responsible
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Current Corps of Engineers Quality Control Certification
- Experience with Corps of Engineers RMS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety, and Health or related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Applicable certification in Quality
- USACE Contractor Quality Management (CQM) certificate
- Knowledge of USACE Resident Management System (RMS)
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification
- Qualify Control Certification
- Five years of experience directly related to construction quality control
- Two years of RMS 3.0 experience
- US Citizenship or Green Card certification
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Clean driving record
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to pass a drug test
