Write features, interviews, and colour reporting across the features desk, managing tight daily deadlines and longer lead pieces. Pitch angles on breaking news, trends, and zeitgeisty ideas to create national talking points, while sourcing original content through a network of contacts and experts. Deliver clean copy for reported features, ghost-written articles, investigations, and big interviews, liaising with visual and video teams to explore innovative storytelling. Maintain full knowledge of media law and understand digital engagement drivers within a subscription-based organisation. This six-month mat cover role supports the Telegraph's original, entertaining content strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Full knowledge of media law
- Flexibility and availability to travel at short notice
- A good understanding of the Telegraph's tone and audience
