Job Summary
The Feature Editor will create professional, network-quality video programs for both broadcast and digital distribution, coordinating production shoots and extracting footage from various sources. Essential skills include expert competency in AVID and Premiere Editing software, beginner-level proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop, and knowledge of video editing in a sports context. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects and lead a team. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with AVID Media Composer & Adobe Premiere
- Demonstrate beginner-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects | Photoshop
- Knowledge of Avid Interplay and Airspeed Systems
- Previous video editing experience in sports or similar
- Knowledge of location and studio production practices
- Knowledge of photog/video equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented
- Excels under deadlines
- Self-motivated, empowered to work unsupervised
- Team player, willing to collaborate and take direction from producers
Desired Qualifications
- Avid/Adobe certifications
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work weekends, nights and some holidays
