Job Summary
Conduct routine and complex maintenance, repairs, and installations on fire suppression equipment including portable extinguishers, kitchen systems, and hoses. Perform services such as recharging, hydrostatic testing, and part replacement while inspecting for legal compliance using hand tools. Install extinguishers and suppression systems in new or renovated facilities, monitor inventory, and tag certified equipment. Handle hazardous materials safely and adhere to all safety standards. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to work on ladders, and strong attention to safety in a physically active environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers as needed
- Ability to perform routine to moderately complex inspections, service, and repair of fire extinguishing equipment
- Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work on ladders or in tight spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Fire Extinguisher License preferred but not required (FEL)
