Job Summary
Site Capital Supplier Manager at Micron responsible for acting as the primary contact for site suppliers, managing supplier performance, driving cost reduction initiatives, and leading negotiations. The role includes developing and executing category strategies, negotiating terms and pricing, coordinating supplier performance data, and presenting insights for Quarterly Business Reviews. Responsibilities also cover maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with code-of-conduct programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to craft supplier- and site-specific strategies, data-driven savings levers, and performance metrics. Competencies include data analytics, continuous improvement, negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and project management. Required: a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, procurement certification (ISM, APICS) preferred, and 1-5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supplier relations. Education is complemented by experience in engineering, purchasing/procurement, supplier relations, or supply chain, with a Master’s degree considered advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Certificate: Professional Procurement Certification (ISM, APICS, other) - preferred
- 1-5 years’ experience in Engineering, Purchasing/Procurement, Supplier/Partner Relations, or Supply Chain
