Job Summary
Inspect lumber products and assist with shipping/receiving in a warehouse setting. Safely unload inbound shipments using a sit-down forklift or manual methods, conduct thorough quality inspections, document findings daily, address discrepancies, and prepare items for outbound shipment to local stores. Palletize and manage inventory by performing up-stocking and down-stocking using a forklift or cherry picker. Maintain communication with warehouse staff and management, perform minor repairs to product packaging to maintain presentation and quality standards, and generate detailed daily reports outlining activities and inspection results.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Valid driver's license
- current auto insurance
- reliable personal vehicle
- 5+ years' experience operating a forklift and order picker or willingness to obtain certification
- smartphone with internet access and ability to send/receive texts and emails
- basic tools (gloves, hand tools, tape measure, box cutter)
- ability to lift 50+ lbs
- experience with forklift and inventory handling
