Job Summary
Cultivate member relationships to understand lending needs, proactively identify new opportunities through networking and referrals, and conduct comprehensive assessments of loan applications. Offer expert guidance on tailored lending products, collaborate with branch teams for efficient processing, and process documentation for approvals and disbursements. Meet and exceed targets for loan volume and profitability while ensuring compliance with regulations and staying updated on industry trends. Utilize mobile technology to serve members remotely and engage in community outreach to expand the member base. Report to the VP of Retail Banking with a guaranteed annual salary of $80,000 for the first six months, transitioning to $60,000 base plus commission thereafter.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial services
- Preference given to experience within the Credit Union system
- Demonstrated understanding of lending principles and practices
- 3-5 years of experience in an active retail mortgage lending role
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending products
- Strong knowledge of regulations
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end lending process
- Proven sales and business development acumen
- Track record of achieving targets and goals
- Education or equivalent experience with Products & Services
- Education or equivalent experience with Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning
- Education or equivalent experience with Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending
- Education or equivalent experience with Business Financial Statement Analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills
