Job Summary
Own and manage the product backlog for strategic data initiatives, ensuring work aligns with business priorities and enterprise data objectives. Partner with business stakeholders to define product vision, translate needs into user stories, and prioritize features to support delivery roadmaps. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining validation criteria and ensure delivered solutions meet quality standards. Lead the development of a new enterprise data warehouse while collaborating with data engineers and architects to define technical requirements. Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple sources, and identify automation opportunities using modern data technologies. Track product progress, communicate risks, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams using Agile and SAFe best practices. This fully remote role supports Property & Casualty Insurance and Distribution teams at Farmers Insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role supporting data products or analytics initiatives
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and enterprise data management concepts
- Experience working with SQL and Snowflake to understand and validate data solutions
- Strong Excel skills with experience analyzing and validating complex datasets
- Basic knowledge of Python, with an understanding of how it can support automation and data processes
- Experience working within Agile or SAFe delivery environments
- Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), backlog management, and requirements prioritization
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
