Job Summary
Assess and monitor clients in a facility-based crisis/non-hospital detox setting, participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment while responding to crises on a timely basis. Comply with Controlled Substances policy to maintain accurate inventories and logs, monitor consumers for medication side effects, and complete QA activities as requested. Communicate effectively with the team to provide oversight and general nursing care to voluntary patients performing their own ADLs, with an average length of stay of 5-7 days. Requires 12-hour shifts (day, 7:45am-8:15pm) and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing
- Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided
- Valid drivers license
- Personal vehicle insurance coverage
- Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required
- Complete criminal background Name checked in the registries
- OIG exclusions database check
- Child Abuse Registry check
- Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities check
- Drug testing
- Education verification
- Other credentialing based on position requirements
- Proof of employment history or references
Desired Qualifications
- One year of nursing experience
- Experience in behavioral health nursing
- Some college training
- Management experience
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to pick up on nonverbal communication
- Eagerness to work on nonstandard nursing assignments
- Positive and personable individual
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health, and substance use challenges
- Support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders
